City of Compton, CA
One of Los Angeles’ most talked about city, Compton, California is known for being one of the more ruthless cities in the entire country. However, the city is not as bad as people think it is.
The city has had a history of gang trouble throughout the city, but the city has been cleaned up very nicely. The schools within the city are becoming more and more competitive with other schools in the Southern region of the state of California.
Some of the historical landmarks include the Angeles Abbey Cemetery, which contains example of Byzantine, Moorish and Spanish architectural styles, the Compton Airport, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, and the Eagle Tree, which is a natural boundary marker of Rancho San Pedro.
The city would not have become what it is today without the help of the Los Angeles Police Department. The men and women of the LAPD work tirelessly day and night to make sure that the city is safe at all times.
